Swim and Surf
Tamarama is known as one of the most dangerous patrolled beaches in Sydney due to its deep water and strong, frequent rip currents. The entire surf zone can be dominated by rips. Always swim between the red and yellow flags when the beach is patrolled by lifeguards. Tamarama is patrolled by lifeguards, with extended hours during the summer. If there are no flags, swimming is not recommended.

Tamarama Parklands
Tamarama park is not just a scenic spot but also a highly functional area for a variety of activities with changing rooms, showers, and restrooms. The park features BBQ grills and picnic tables, a playground, outdoor exercise equipment.

Tamarama Park Playground is a popular well equipped playground suitable for younger children at the back of the park. The playground features swings slides, nets, zip line, sandpit and climbing frame.
